Grignr
A gentle giant born and badly raised in the Southern Steppes, Grignr made his way to Barkshead looking for distraction and adventure. He quickly made a name for himself in that seaside village by rescuing a local child, ridding a haunted farmhouse of the bandit squatters, and building a reputation for eating the local taverner, Madame Mortise, out of her chicken coop.
He may be found in the company of cats and kittens, of whom he holds particular fondness.
Grignr is a half-orc of about 6’8″ in height, greenish skin, and a warrior’s toque trimmed in the style of the Steppes. His favored weapon is the Sisters, his exquisitely honed and balanced battle-axes.
Amathren
Monk, Warrior, and Green Fist of Melandru, Amathren is a dedicated martial artist and monk fiercely to Goddess, friends, and chosen family.
Amathren’s chosen weapons are reason and compassion. When those twin forces fail, he relies on open hands, perfect balance, and his staff, Cufer.
When not engaged in saving the world, Amathren may be found in any corner of a tavern, engaged in quiet meditation and contemplative discussion with a cloaked Wizard, usually over a bowl of tea and a delicious scented tobacco product.
Yarrow
A ferociously analytical Cleric with deep and abiding connection to the Green, Yarrow is a rock of common sense with an unparalleled memory for detail. She is also very excited to talk with you about Melandru. Have you heard the Green Word?
Yarrow is a proselytizer for Melandru. Her goal is to educate the town folk on the wonders of Melandru, open their eyes to all the myriad ways She is trying to help them though they may not know it! She is sure that if they just understood, their lives would be so much better. Back in Roduvai, in the Southwest quarter, Yarrow has a little shopfront/temple where she sells tinctures & remedies and lectures all her customers/clients on the benefits of loving Melandru.
She’ll happily pray to Melandru with her clients in lieu of payment. Most of them give her coin just to get her to shut up. She’s well known locally for healing small afflictions and having the best creams & ointments.
Yaz’Rem Orebinder
Bold as brass, and tough as iron, and silver-tongued, the bard Yaz’Rem (called ‘Yaz’ by his friends) is a veteran of the Peninsula Wars. He is quick to support friends and colleagues in battle, and has plenty of tricks — and stories — up his capacious sleeves.
Yaz grew up in a military family, and hailed from a long line of Dwarven Commanders. He followed in the family footsteps and entered the kingdom’s military academy. He excelled at leadership and morale and, as such, became friends with his kingdom’s prince, who was also training.
In the aftermath of the war, and a series of unfortunate events, Yaz is a roving Bard looking for adventure.
Hesh
A kind, ebullient Ranger with strong affinity for living creatures of all kinds, Hesh joyfully eases the adventurers’ way forward with subtle application of magic. They are skilled readers of signs and are especially good at wayfinding.
Hesh has a treasured toy dolphin, small and intricately worked, which they brought to a Gnomish cousin long ago at a family party. Their cousin repaired the dolphin, showing remarkable expertise and deftness, and Hesh has admired clever artisanship ever since.
Hesh is most likely to be found in the company of small children and/or animals, and equally likely to be found sitting on Grignr’s shoulder.
Chiuin
Chiuin is a fire-focused wild magic sorcerer. Through long association with Grignr he has developed a suspicion of chicken feathers.
